Founded in November 2004, the Network Technology Assessment (NTA) includes institutional members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as personal members. The NTA aims to promote cooperation among TA researchers and those interested in TA and to make TA known in science, politics, business and the public. In the founding declaration of November 24, 2024, the NTA states: ?The ?Network TA? is an association of scientists, experts and practitioners in the broadly understood field of TA (Technology Assessment). [?] The members of the network represent the various forms of TA and cover the broad spectrum between theory and practice, between research and consulting, and between the various scientific disciplines.?
The coordination team of the NTA advises and decides on the activities of the NTA. It has essentially a stimulating and supportive function. It is the point of contact for the NTA internally and externally.

TA-SWISS is the Swiss foundation for parliamentary Technology Assessment. It investigates the consequences of new technologies in the areas of digitalization, energy/environment and life sciences in accordance with the federal government's Research Funding Act. TA-SWISS is a member of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. It prepares independent, objective and balanced information in the form of studies and corresponding abstracts for parliament, the government, the administration and society. These foundations contribute to public discussion and direct-democratic decision-making in Switzerland.

Technology assessment is an integral part of the institute's activities.
The Institute for Qualifying Innovation Research and Consulting (IQIB) is a think and do tank for transformation, transfer and impact. It combines application-oriented, interdisciplinary research with consulting, strategy development, evaluation and training. The focus is on the topics of system evaluation and social sustainability (resilient energy systems), transfer, regional and urban innovation systems (smart cities), organisational development and data intelligence.
The Institute of Technology Assessment (ITA) deals with the impact of new technologies on society, the environment and the economy. It conducts scientific Technology Assessment on a range of topics. The results of this work are disseminated in scientific publications and also prepared specifically for politicians, administrators and the public.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis INT offers scientifically expertise and advice on the entire spectrum of technological developments and their interaction with social and economic issues. On this basis, the institute conducts technology-oriented innovation research, thus enabling long-term strategic research planning.
